Nintendo details new Wii RPG, 2010 Wii lineup

last-story

Those who claim that the Wii lacks quality RPGs may soon have reason to cease their complaints, as a new AAA RPG title is headed to the console.

Nintendo has confirmed (and renamed!) some of its 2010 releases, and among them is The Last Story, an RPG from Mistwalker, creators of the Blue Dragon series. Little is known of the game at this point, but considering the pedigree of Mistwalker, it’s hard not to get excited.

Also of note in the report is Metroid: Other M, which now has a more concrete release for Summer 2010. Its official Japanese site just went live too, but there isn’t much to see there at the moment. The music sure is nice though.

And finally, if you recall Monado: Begining of the World from last year’s E3, it looks like it has been renamed Xenoblade. It is being developed by Monolith Soft, creators of the Xenosaga series and although Nintendo has not released any new screenshots or videos to accompany the possible name change, you can refresh your memory by checking out the trailer and screens we posted from E3.
