Digital Leisure has announced that the old arcade classic is coming to the DSi via download purchase on New Year’s Day.

Gamers can now take on the role of Dirk the Daring in his original animated form in the palm of their own hands. For the first time on any Nintendo handheld console, you can now take on the “Lair” and begin your quest to rescue the Princess Daphne from the clutches of an evil dragon.

Dragon’s Lair is scheduled for release on 1st Januray 2010 across Europe, with the US release slightly earlier on 21st December 2009.
