D3Publisher will be publishing the new Puzzle Quest game for the Nintendo DS.

The popular series makes a return with its trademark match-3 gem matching and fantasy real-time gameplay. Gamers can choose from any of the four character classes (War Mage, Inquisitor, Barbarian or Assassin), and utilise all-new weapons, spells, and shields as they journey on this new puzzle adventure. Each character will provide “interesting twists” during multiple play-throughs.

Gamers will be able to level-up each character as they attempt to defeat the demon Gorgon and restore peace to the village of Verloren. Progress through your adventure in Story Mode, or enter into the Instant Action, Tournament Mode, or Multiplayer Mode as Puzzle Quest 2 offers you another real-time experience in the palm of your hands.

Puzzle Quest 2 is currently scheduled for release in Spring 2010 for the Nintendo DS, also available for the Xbox Live: Arcade.
