Dedicated BBC iPlayer Channel out Wednesday

A new version of the BBC iPlayer will be available as a dedicated Wii Channel.

Until now, the BBC iPlayer service has only been accessible via the Wii’s Internet Channel. From Wednesday (00:01am) onwards, you can go to the Wii Shop Channel and download the new BBC iPlayer Wii Channel for free. This revamped service should offer us a “new and richer experience”.

The new version has been designed with a new full-screen user interface, which hopefully makes navigation better than before. Now Nintendo needs to clean up all the other little problems that have crept up.
