There have been many rumors that new Wii machines released in 2010 would be made for High Definition gaming. This hear-say has been brought to an end by the Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.
He said in an interview with GTTV that Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan has been wrong in his claims that an HD Wii will be released next year.
Fils-Aime’s exact words were:
“Michael [Pachter] continues to be the only one who believes this is going to happen…I don’t know how forcefully we can say that there is no Wii HD.”
Could this be a genine “no” to Wii HD altogether, or just a “no” to a 2010 release? Alternatively, could Nintendo be keeping quiet on future HD plans so as not to upset current Wii sales? Let us know your thoughts on this.
