The next instalment in the Resident Evil Archives series has been penned with a release date across all PAL regions.

Resident Evil Archives gives gamers the opportunity to experience and enjoy the classic horror/survival games from the Gamecube era. With the remake of the original Resident Evil already available on the Wii, Capcom have announced the release date for the prequel.

Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil 0 is set before the members of S.T.A.R.S. enter the mansion, and gives gamers insight into the origins of the T-Virus. As always, expect the mysterious Umbrella corporation to have some kind of involvement in all this madness.

This time round, you will be in control of Rebecca Chambers; the rookie of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team and a trained medic. During the course of the game, you’ll encounter Billy Coen;  an ex-Marine charged with the murder of 23 people. Gamers will be able to control both characters, using this partnership to defeat enemies and solve the puzzles as you both try to escape Raccoon City.

Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil 0 will be released on 22nd January 2010 for the Nintendo Wii.
