Good news for those of you who like water sports games for the Wii that make use of the Balance Board! A new game simply called Water Sports is coming to the Wii.

The announcement of GameMill Entertainment’s new release will come as good news to those of you enjoying similar games in Wii Sports Resort. The main difference with Water Sports will be the use of the Balance Board which will really add a realistic edge to the game.

Activities included in the game include Wakeboarding, Wind Surfing, and Kite Boarding, and there are a variety of global locations to visit.

The Wakeboarding activity also incorporates a multiplayer mode, where one person controls the boat while one rides the waves on the Wakeboard.

The controls are set to be fairly simple, making it great fun for all the family.

Gary Miller of GameMill Entertainment said:

“Stand on the Balance Board and ride the waves across the globe! With simple controls, players will find high speeds in Watercraft racing, big jumps in Kite Boarding, and long rails in Wind Surfing…Water Sports will provide hours of family enjoyment.”

Water Sports is expected to be released this month, but there is no indication as to the exact date yet.
