Engadget’s hands-on impression of DJ Hero controller

2009-09-15djhero-2

Nilay Patel publishes some up close and personal pictures of the DJ Hero turntable controller on Engadget.

As well as uploading a full gallery of photographs, Nilay Patel notes that the platter on the turntable is “nice and weighty”; which is a good sign. She also says the buttons are “pleasantly clicky”; which is another good sign.

I don’t agree with her “stacking up” this game controller against the might of the Technics 1200MK2; whether it was half-hearted or not. The inclusion of the 1200s in the pictures suggests it might have been purely an aesthetic comparison. Let’s hope it was as the 1200s are industry standard turntables and have been since the 1970s; with some of the highest torque in the market. Anyway, enough BS, click on the link to read the original article and check out the gallery.
