Konami Digital Entertainment announces Walk It Out; their latest health game for the Nintendo Wii.
Unlike Wii Fit or EA Sports Active, Walk It Out focuses on fitness revolving around walking. It sounds like a simple concept, but it looks very involving. In the game, the player controls an on-screen avatar walking through environments composed of different buildings such as skyscrapers, windmills, lighthouses, etc. When these buildings appear in front of you, you must alternate your rhythm to walk over them.
Walk It Out supports the Wii Balance Board but also the wii-moteĀ and nunchuk combination for those who lack the former. Interestingly enough, Konami will also allow use of the Dance Dance Revolution dance mat for the game. Konami promised around 120 tunes as part of the soundtrack so the player have plenty of music to walk along to. Popular artists include Black Eyed Peas, Demi Lavato, Jesse McCartney and more.
For those who think walking is tedious as a gaming concept, the developer promised more activities to toy around with when the game comes out.

LOVE that picture! That tells the story, doesn’t it? I hope the game offers more for fitness than pointing a remote!
