As well as providing a popular forum, gamers now have a “Social” section where they can check out what their friends are up to, what they’ve been doing on the site, what games they’ve been playing, and their latest status updates.
It’s the perfect social network for Nintendo gamers, as you can customise the sections on your profile; write your own blog and comment on other player’s profiles while incorporating support for other platforms including Xbox Live and Playstation 3.
The site now has improved user profiles with a comments system. Founded as an easy way for Nintendo gamers to “communicate, connect with each other and compete in Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection games”. It was launched on July 20th 2007 by Alain Meyer and Jonathan Cresswell as the followup of the first Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection community website, WiTendoFi.
