This Summer promises to provide a wide range of sports games for us all to enjoy. Cricket fans will certainly not miss out as Ashes Cricket 2009 heads for the Wii.

Ashes Cricket 2009 is set to immerse gamers into the gentleman’s sport by implementing authentic controls; making use of the wii-mote to bowl and bat their way into victory.

Up to four players can take to the field in a variety of modes; such as the Ashes Series, Test Matches and limited over games including 20 overs. The game will also feature a Scenario Mode that will pit players against more than 50 match-defining moments. For example, scoring vital match-winning runs,and taking dramatic last-gasp wickets.

Featuring fully licensed teams from England and Australia, Ashes Cricket 2009 will also feature ten other Test playing nations, as well as ten of the most recognisable venues; including the five that are being played in in this year’s nPower Ashes Series.

In-game commentary is provided by Jonathan Agnew, Shane Warne, Ian Botham, Ian Bishop and Tony Greig. Ashes Cricket 2009 is developed by Gusto Games and published by Codemasters for the Nintendo Wii.

It is currently scheduled for release in August 2009 to coincide with the Ashes Series.

I am a good fans of cricket and loves to play cricket games. Having commentator in sports games will make the players more interesting, especially from a well known commentator of cricket like Tony Greig, Ian Bishop, Jonathan Agnew and so on…
These games will be very interesting as it will contain other playing nations and special venues. As it was scheduled for release in august 09 i am eagerly waiting for the game to be on market. Anyway thanks to Gusto Games for developing Ashes Cricket 2009 and Codemasters for publishing. Hope it will provides more cricket games in near future.
