Sumthing Else Music Works Inc. has announced it is releasing the official MadWorld soundtrack through its licensing relationship with Sega.
Gamers who found themselves bopping along to MadWorld will be glad to hear that the official soundtrack is available from today onwards from retail outlets, or to download via the Sumthing Else website or on iTunes.
Featuring all 20 tracks from the game; composed by Naoto Tanaka in collaboration with hip-hop and rap artists such as OX, Doujah Raze, Sick-YG, Bandy Leggz, Wordsmith, S.O.U.L. Purpose, and Optimus. Much like the game, developed by Platinum Games, expect the soundtrack to have an 18 tag slapped across it.
Naoto Tanaka adds…
“There are a total of 20 tracks on the MADWORLD soundtrack and they are all original songs that we produced especially for the game…I would make the backing tracks (or the beats) and then we would hand them off to these talented artists to get their performances. It was a pretty big challenge, especially as it was my first time with this kind of collaboration, but I think luck was on my side and it turned out to be extremely successful.”
