Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon has been confirmed for European release in the first quarter of 2010 for the Nintendo Wii.

Developed by Tri Crescendo and published by Rising Star Games, the highly anticipated fantasy RPG title has finally been scheduled with a European release after grabbing our attention a good couple of years ago.

Tyrone Walcott, Product Manager at Rising Star Games adds…

“Fragile has a great team of creative designers who in turn have brought to life a beautiful art style that pushes the limits of the Wii console without compromising on gaming quality…This announcement will delight European gamers and the Otaku community. Rising Star Games has again shown its commitment to bring the best games from Japan.”

Since its Japanese announcement, gamers have expressed great interest in the title and requests for a PAL release was evident. Simon Alty, Head of Brand at Rising Star Games adds…

“The feedback from fans in our forums was that this was a title they wanted us to champion and we are very excited to respond to that ‘fan power’ with this announcement.”

Set in the near future, gamers take on the role of Seto in a world that’s lost its population. Seto is a curious young boy, searching for the truth behind the abandoned cities and facilities of this empty world. Where have all the people gone?

Along your journey, you will find all sorts of characters to keep you company. Good thing too, as you’ll encounter ghosts in the ruins. Although judging by the screenshots, that weird looking “shop keeper” is enough to creep you out.

Utilising the Wii’s controls, the wii-mote will function as a torch and a proximity sensor to hunt down invisible ghosts. Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon will treat gamers to a cinematic experience with an engaging soundtrack to add depth to the gaming experience.

From early 2010 onwards, us lucky European gamers will be able to enjoy this “tale of a lonely and lost individual to life as players encounter memorable characters and discover the back story behind scavenged objects that provide insight on people’s last days before the apocalypse”.
