Atari have today announced that they have taken over Q Entertainment, the studio built by Rez creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi. They also bundled with the announcement that they will be bringing Q’s next Wii music-based title, currently known as QJ, to the Nintendo Wii platform.

Not a lot is known about QJ other than what was announced above, and Atari are staying very tight-lipped about it.

One thing they did let slip though was that they plan on releasing a Q Entertainment compilation disc featuring some of their previous great including Rez HD, Lumines Live and Every Extend Extra Extreme, packed with downloadable content, although that probably won’t be Wii-bound.
