Nyko Technologies, creators of many different accessories especially for the Wii, have today released the WingT. This fancy device is an unofficial wireless classic controller, runs off AAA batteries and works by plugging in a wireless module into the bottom of your Wii remote.
It certainly looks funky enough, and its definitely something that is missing from the shops. I’ve always wondered why Nintendo haven’t yet released the fabled clip or shell which holds the Wii remote and classic controller together, but I guess there’s no need now!
Chris Arbogast, Director of Marketing at Nyko Technologies had this to say about the new controller:
“The Wing is a great example of what we at Nyko aim to do: improve the gamer’s experience with a quality made product. There have been very few options for classic gaming control designed specifically for the Wii until now, and the Wing provides a comfortable and affordable wireless alternative that fans of Virtual Console games will enjoy using.”
Is this the new must-have for Wii and Virtual Console fans alike, along side the Wii remote charging station and controller grips? Time will tell…
