Although the Nintendo Conference earlier today confirmed the release date for the DSi in Japan, Europe and America were left sitting alone in the corner.

Luckily, Nintendo of Europe are a little nicer giving us a date they are aiming for. In a small piece on Gamesindustry.biz, NoE said “We are aiming to launch DSi in Europe in spring 2009″ and while this isn’t a concrete date, its the best we have at the moment.

So are you excited about the DSi? personally I couldn’t be more thrilled at the prospect of getting my hands on a new DS but more important than the system to me is the games. I want to see some stellar games over the next month or so, really using the new bigger screen to its fullest and Nintendo taking advantage of the DSiWare idea to release some older, classic GameBoy games.
