Activision UK has told MCV that they are embarking on one of the biggest insentives to pre-order their new game, Guitar Hero World Tour.

Gamers who pre-order the ’super-bundle’, consiting of the game, drum kit, guitar and microphone, will also receive a free base guitar, which currently retails for around £50.

“This programme signals our enormous commitment to Guitar Hero World Tour,” Activision’s marketing director for the UK and Ireland David Tyler says, and we think he’s right.

“This is a significant investment to reward our loyal fans, ensuring the full band experience is available from the off. With demand likely to far outstrip supply, pre-ordering is the only way to assure a copy at launch.”

Also, it appears that they have learnt from Rock Band’s mistake and are releasing the game AND the instruments together in one package, although at £150 for the ’super-bundle’, it still might remain out-of-reach of some gamers.
