This is some scarily timed news for me. A few nights ago i was wondering to myself why Phantasy Star has not graced the Wii or the DS yet seeing as Sega likes to make money. It gives me great pleasure to say that Phantasy Star will coming to the DS in the form of Phantasy Star Zero.

PSZ is a brand new game in the series drawing from the newest games MMORPG styling’s with a single player storyline shoved in as the DS installment with feature both 4 player local and online play (Note:YES!). while in multiplayer, expect to see a very Pictochat styled experience with a window at the bottom for images and text to be written and preset icons for quick speech.

While only scans are currently available, we expect to have some images for you soon. I’m sure  I’m not the only one here who is  really excited about this game, having loved the previous game on the Dreamcast and Gamecube i cant wait to sink my teeth in to this!

The game is currently set for a Winter release in Japan with EU and US releases TBA.
