One of the gaming industries’ juggernauts, Capcom have in recent times been seemingly neglectful of the Wii despite its unprecedented success across the globe. Some (and I use the term very very loosely) ‘critics’ have argued that Capcom’s larger series and bigger selling games have been insufficient in their presence aboard the Wii platform.
Titles such as Street Fighter, Capcom’s iconic building block of the previous century have seen scant development for Wii purpose as well as Resident Evil - another popular title which has not seen expansive progress on the Wii.
This however is about to change, although not in perhaps the way most of us (and forgivably so) would assume. Capcom and peripheral legend Mad Catz Interactive Inc have combined to produce branded controllers and accessories based on Street Fighter IV, Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Resident Evil 5 properties.
Whilst not exactly the games that we may have been hoping for, at least it shows some signs of a shift in focus and perhaps we may see some of the fantastic Capcom games yet!
