Codemasters have announced that the Overlord franchise, currently on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, will be making its way to the Wii in the form of Overlord: Dark Legend and DS in the form of Overlord: Minions. Hailed by fans as a love letter to Pikmin, Overlord has similar gameplay styles and themes except was far more violent than Nintendo’s child friendly game.

While the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC will be getting Overlord 2, The Wii is getting a prequel of sorts featuring the same gameplay from the original with added motion controls and new story. The DS however focuses on 4 elite Minions rather than an army due to the amount of power the DS can handle. Not much else has been said about the games but luckily we have a few screenshots

Personally, I liked what i played of the original on the Xbox 360 and am happy Nintendo peeps are getting a taste. What do you guys think?
