A very clever JavaScript developer by the name of nihilogic has managed to write a very slimmed down version of Super Mario Kart, available to play in your browser!

While the game itself isn’t the full version of the SNES classic, it is very impressive from a development point of view. There are 3 characters to choose from (Mario, Luigi or Peach) and two tracks (Mushroom Cup 1 and 2) from the original game.

Unfortunately it appears the player can drive until the end of time as it doesn’t seem to track laps, or coins or items, but it’s still a very good effort considering it weights in at just 11 Kilobytes.
