Some odd rumor was created at the beginning of the week which stated that three very important members of Retro Studios would leave the company. How true that is now as IGN has confirmed this rumor: lead designer Mark Pacini, engineer Jack Mathews and art director Todd Keller have left Retro Studios.

This doesn’t mean that the company is shutting down, they’ll still continue to create new Wii software. We definitely want more from them, seeing they created the Metroid Prime series. Reasons for the departure of those key members still hasn’t been revealed though.
