Electronic Arts’ Rock Band definitely stole a lot of potential that Guitar Hero III brought out by introducing multiple instruments to the musical mix. IGN recently chatted with Activision CEO Bobby Kotick on the future of Guitar Hero and now we know (or saw coming) that new instruments are “getting the Hero treatment, including vocals.” The rivalry between the two franchises will definitely heat up now thanks to much added diversity to make them even.

Hopefully bass is actually fun to play. ^_^
