Dragon Quest V Fights in Japan in July

Square Enix has recently announced that its remake of Dragon Quest V for the DS will be released in Japan on July 17th for 5,490 yen. This is just one of the three remakes from the series, one being DQIV which released back in November, garnering high scores and huge sales, and DQIX which hasn’t received a release date.

Dragon Quest V was indeed very special in its own way back in 1992. It was one of the first titles (if not first) in the video game market that allowed players to have monsters from random encounters join their clan. This is heavily used in the Dragon Quest Monster series and Pokemon games.
