Sqauare Enix has gotten a good reputation for itself on the Nintendo DS by delivering a plethora of exclusive games for the system. Their support now continues with a new title called Sigma Harmonics, and despite the lack of detail, it looks pretty interesting!

Already, we know there are huge names behind the project; Hiroki Chiba (Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cirberus) is directing, Yusaki Nakaaki (Dirge of Cirberus‘ subcharacter and mechanic designer) is working on character designs and Yoshinoro Kitase is producing.

Japanese video game publication Famitsu has also uncovered some other details. Sigma Harmonics is indeed an adventure rpg, which as a persona 4-style story with murder and mysterious elements attached. The game will be played via holding the DS sideways (think Ninja Gaiden) and will include the typical rpg elements such as leveling up by accumulating experience points from battles. The structure of Sigma Harmonics is divided into chapters, with a new murder/mystery/accident occurring in each chapter.
