Publisher Black Bean Games and developer Artematica Entertainment have announced they will partner up to bring Diabolik: The Original Sin to the Nintendo Wii and DS.
The game delivers much of the compelling story and character originally from the classic comic book of the same name, created by the Giussani sisters back in 1962. The game revolves around a master thief named Diabolik who happens to love luxury, expensive cars and hi-tech gadgets. He shows his merciless attitude and apathy to almost everyone except for his one true love, Eva.
The Original Sin is a third-person adventure which blends the point-and-click genre with fast-paced combat and stealth sequences. The world around Diabolik will mix 3D real-time graphics and 2D black and white comic-style animations.
“Bringing Diabolik: The Original Sin to the market on multiple formats is a thrilling opportunity for us,” commented David Pain, general manager of Black Bean Games. “We are delighted to be working with Artematica whose skill, creativity and track record in the adventure sector will ensure we deliver a great game appealing to adventure gamers and to a broader gaming audience.”
Expect Diabolik: The Original Sin release on the Wii and DS in autumn 2008.
