Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles Ships 1 Million

Capcom has proudly announced that since its release back in November 2007, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles has shipped 1 million copies worldwide. Their latest survival horror has performed phenomenally well alongside their other Wii game, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, which sold over 1 million copies.

The Resident Evil franchise is Capcom’s most prized possession, selling over 345 million units worldwide, each game successful and innovating since the release of the original back in 1996. The Umbrella Chronicles was their latest project, a rail shooter specifically created to make use of the Wii remote and Nunchuck. It was also their first game to support Nintendo’s Wii Zapper.

Recently, the company has announced the port of Resident Evil 0 on the Wii, though we are still unsure whether or not they’ll bring it out to territories outside Japan. Stick with WiiDS on more news and updates.
