XGenStudios has confirmed its support to the Nintendo WiiWare Download Service by announcing their first game for it, Defend Your Castle.

What appears to be a recreation of the original game, Defend Your Castle for the WiiWare still requires the same mission objective: defend your domain from the masses of the Barbarian horde. But this time around, new features have been implemented to make the experience more fun and engaging. First off, the game includes 4 player cooperative play, so that three other friends can aid you in the defense of your castle, or perhaps all of you have gone rogue and want to compete against each other for kingship.

Since Defend Your Castle is indeed a recreation, the new game sports completely new visuals and animations; giving the notion that a young toddler hyped up on sugar and Crayola crayons. This new upgrade also includes enhanced physics and particle effects and the ability to create unlimited levels.

Defend Your Castle will be available at the launch of the WiiWare Service for a mere 500 points. Check out the developer’s official website here.
