IGN has recently reported that a Nintendo of Europe subsidary has revealed that players can communicate with each other in Mario Kart Wii using text chat, but not during races.
“You can create rooms for friends to join and even text chat while you’re waiting for other racers,” Nintendo of Europe revealed.
Its a given fact that text will be created using the Wii remote, though some have speculated that a USB keyboard could be supported, given USB support has been added to the Wii through a quiet update many months ago. Whelp, we’ll see when Mario Kart Wii ships in April 2008.
