Very recently, Gaming Console Network had a conference call with 2K Sports’ Major League Baseball 2K8 producer Ben Brinkman and lots of details spilled on the upcoming iteration.
Much of the footnotes taken were referring to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the game, though some Wii details were uncovered as well. Being the first for the Nintendo console, MLB 2K8 for the Wii will play and feel different than the other console versions. First off, gameplay is everything and the company made sure that controls were precise and lag free. The problem that some people may find is that the Wii version of the game is excluded some features founded on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 such as an online component (online play, rosters, downloads, etc), playing cards or minor leagues. Brinkman wanted the Wii version to be strictly family oriented and will have a alternative realistic feel to the game.
We’ll uncover more details about the game in the near and distant future.
