Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 released in Australia back last week and we heard reports that the online multiplayer component was excluded from the Aussie version. While it was surprising, it was even more flabbergasting that the instruction manual said that it was a major feature of the game.

Electronic Arts Australia has recently gotten to make a comment on the matter, this is what EA Australia’s PR Specialist Cameron Jenkins said:

Medal of Honor Heroes 2 for Wii does not support online functionality in Australia. We made an error in the documentation and marketing materials. We are very sorry to have caused confusion for our customers. We will provide a refund to anyone in Australia who wishes to return the game to EA because of the lack of online functionality.

This is indeed a darn shame. While there could be some potential financial reasons, EA refused to comment on the reason for the exclusion of the 32-player online component. We hope we can get the word soon.
