Majestic Minors for the Wii is a Music/Rhythm game, developed by NanaOn-Sha. The creative minds who brought you hit games, such as PaRappa the Rapper are the ones behind this game.
As the story goes, the game puts you in the shoes of Major Mike Minor who comes from a town where Marching Bands are popular. Mike is aided in his attempts to becoming a Band Leader by a special baton, given to him by his parents, which allows him to magically allows the band members to follow the rhythm of their leader.
The Wii Remote controls Mike’s baton, which lets you keep tempo, recruit band members, and pick up items. There are 8 different stages to march in. During those stages, you will have to keep in rhythm and avoid obstacles. If you keep in rhythm, you’ll pass the stage. However, once you start to lose your rhythm, bands members start leaving, and eventually fail the stage. There are also 15 different instruments that your band will be playing, ranging from wood winds to percussion. The different combination of different band players can change the way your band plays. The combinations will be tested through the 30 well-known marching band songs from various cultures, in an original medley. To impress the crowd even more, try some baton twirling during the intermissions.
The game is being published by Majesco Entertainment, with an undisclosed release date at this time.
