Guitar Hero DS Won’t Use the Touchscreen

After Ubisoft released Jam Sessions for the Nintendo DS, some of us were at ease that Guitar Hero DS would potentially use the same control scheme. We are mistaken because developer Vicarious Visions revealed that it won’t be using the touchscreen whatsoever.

Unlike in Ubisoft’s guitar simulator Jam Sessions, which has players using the stylus to strum on-screen strings, Guitar Hero DS won’t use the touch screen as a primary input at all, revealed design manager, Adrian Earle.

While we can ponder the possibilities of the mysterious control scheme (peripheral perhaps?), its confirmed that Guitar Hero DS will still retain the same graphical style of the console versions, which includes 3D backgrounds.
