505 Games has just announced the release of Draglade, a fighting game which mixes both rhythm and combat to create devastating attacks and combos, on the Nintendo DS for Europe.
Draglade’s focus revolves around the violent sport experience of Grapping, in which competitors use powerful audible weapon devices called Glades. Developed by Draglade scientists, the discover of energy from atmospheric matter allows the weapons to generate music, creating an unmatchable sporting experience. The game revolves around four young Grappers, Hibito, Guy, Kyle and Daichi, who are eager to earn the rank of Major Grappers.
The game puts heavy emphasis on gameplay and the intuitive control scheme. Taking advantage of the dual screens of the Nintendo DS, Draglade offers a unique beat-em up experience with stylized fighting and rhythm. Each fighter has their own weapons and abilities, which can be fully customizable. Also, when they mix different moves and techniques, they can unleashed special devastating attacks called “bullets”, which in turn, can be used unlock special moves and abilities with other people via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Beat Combos is another unique feature in the gameplay as players can muster up huge damaging attacks based on a special rhythm. This too can be customized to the player’s liking for their own individual fighting style.
Draglade offers multiplayer with one-on-one matches and cooperative quests on the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection The game will come out in Europe exclusively for the Nintendo DS in March 2008.
