IGN just got the latest hands-on preview of Team17’s latest game for the Nintendo Wii, Worms: A Space Oddity, a turn-based strategy game featuring worms in open warfare. Back when the game was first announced, it was said to feature an online component, meaning multiplayer fragfests and WiiConnect24 (downloadable content). But sadly enough, the finished product will exclude both these features, and will be limited to offline play.
Expect a release date of Worms: A Space Oddity in March.

What terrible news - I’ve never liked Worms until I played the DS multiplayer game.
Playing other people means they are just as bad at calculating bazooka ballistics as me and when they mess up its hilarious (eg dropping the dynamite and being unable to escape). Neither of these is true when playing the CPU.
I just don’t understand how Wii online play is so much rarer than on the DS.
