IGN Wii has just gotten a phone call from Factor 5’s president, Julian Eggebrecht, and confirms that the company is underway with a new Wii project, and it isn’t a Virtual Console game. According to Eggebrecht, this new project won’t simply reuse Rogue Squadron’s technology, so we can expect an updated tech or something new entirely.
Factor 5 is best known for creating the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series for previous Nintendo systems and most recently, Lair on the Playstation 3. Eggebrecht had held a grudge against the Wii, but has now realized its success and potential for creative games and is now taking side with the system.
