Japanese video game publisher and developer Atlus has announced that Drone Tactics, a new turn-based strategy rpg, is coming to the Nintendo DS.

Drone Tactics takes place on the land of Cimexus where war is waging between its inhabitants and the evil drones of the Black Swarm army and its up to you to muster up an army of drones to conquer the foes. The game allows you to create an armed force of insect mechs with over 100 weapons, upgrades and powerups to refine your forces. There are 50+ campaign operations that call for specific confrontation challenges and objectives in order to square off against the Black Swarm.

Of course you aren’t limited to one enemy as you can face off against your buddies in head-to-head combat via local wireless play.

Drone Tactics is being released in North America on March 25, 2008.
