Three new titles grace the Virtual Console this week, just in time for Xmas! Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be some sort of Xmas theme to the releases, but maybe we can expect something on Xmas Day instead!

This week’s pick has to be Skate or Die, the original NES skateboarding game. Make sure you get this titles as it’s a must for any fan of retro gaming and skateboarding alike!

NES (500 Wii Points)

• Skate or Die

  Return to the ‘totally radical’ 80s with the original skateboarding action game, featuring all the ramps, half-pipes and sweet stunt spots that you could wish for.

• Blades of Steel

  Clash sticks in Konami’s classic ice hockey simulation. Play solo against the CPU or challenge a friend and see the action really heat up!

TurboGrafx CD (800 Wii Points)

• Monster Lair

  Originally released as a Turbografx-CD title, Monster Lair (also known as Wonder Boy III) features colourful platform action and a rocking CD-quality soundtrack.
