Australia was going to face the inevitable, because its now facing a countrywide Wii shortage for the holiday season!
Nintendo of Australia’s PR Coordinator Heather Murphy is somewhat baffled by the ongoing success of both the Wii and its little handheld brother, the DS.
“Due to the high demand for both products, come Christmas time we may not be able to satisfy all consumer demand.”
Its bad enough that shortages have followed consumers this long in the lifespan of the Wii, but it doesn’t end there. The shipments of units are so sparse, they probably won’t come till 2008. Even in the summer, people will inevitably miss out.
Do everything in your power Aussies except resort to Ebay which bids the consoles for over $500!
