Developers Artoon and Mistwalker, best known for their cartoonish Blue Dragon rpg for the Xbox 360, have collaborated once again and has announced (via Famitsu) on a new Nintendo DS rpg action game called Away.
Away can best described as the average dungeon crawler with some unorthodox approaches at level design. Players are given the goal to rescuing villagers from underground dungeons, however, that may become quite a challenge. The map, which spans both DS screens, will change overtime, affecting the player and the gameplay in real-time. What is very impressive is famous names are helping out with the project such as Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy) who is creating the game’s scenarios and Nato Ohshima (Sonic the Hedgehog) who is working on character designs.
Japan can crawl away with Away when the game releases in Japan in February 2008.
