Martial Arts: Capoeira Kicks the Wii and DS

Italian video game developer Twelve Interactive and Graffiti Entertainment have just signed a publishing agreement for Martial Arts: Capoeira, their newest multiplatform game which will be hitting the Nintendo Wii, DS, Playstation Portable and PC in Q4 2008.

“This is our second multi-SKU project, based on our Intellectual Properties,” comments Giuseppe Crugliano, Managing Director of Twelve Interactive. “Martial Arts: Capoeira is an extremely ambitious game, that deserves a great partner like Graffiti Entertainment. Thanks to this partnership we can put in the best resources and count on the professional support of the Graffiti team.”

Martial Arts: Capoeira is based off the Brazilian fighting style of the same name. There are five modes of play: Tournament, Arcade, Quick Fight, Survival and Training. Combining fighting and rpg elements, players can choose from 12 fighters with 10 customizable fight stats. The object of the game is to knock out the opponent and continue to win money and upgrade your stats. The Brazilian Capoeira is what makes this game very unique, as it motion-captures hundreds of different moves and techniques.

Anyone who wants to imitate Eddy Gordo can expect to do so in 2008.
