Kynapse Engine Heads to the Wii

Middleware developer Kynogon has just announced that their Kynapse AI engine will be supported on the Nintendo Wii.

With tools and features specifically created for the next-generation systems, Kynapse allows for easier programming for 3D pathfinding solution to deal with ongoing mechanisms in relation to dynamic terrains. Spatial reasoning and 3D perception are also included which allows for team coordination skills and advanced reasoning such as identifying 3D hiding positions.

Kynapse has been used in the development of various games from leading developers such as Electronic Arts, Activision, Midway, Spark Unlimited and more. The AI engine has been used on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation Portable, Nintendo Gamecube and PC. Only recently has Kynapse for the Wii has been used by two game developers, but those details are unknown.
