As you may know, Guitar Hero 3 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 has songs available that you can download, but the Wii version doesn’t have this feature packaged in. One reason for this is lack of hard drive of a substantial size which is a very significant fault on Nintendo’s part. Nintencast, however, says not to lose hope based on feedback they received concerning this issue…

Downloadable content for the Wii is something we are working very hard on getting in place for the new year. There is no definite timetable in place but we are hoping it will be soon.

This really took me by surprise, but I’m glad Red Octane is pursuing the issue even after the games release.
