Nintendo has officially announced that the Check Mii Out Wii channel will hit North American consoles on November 11th.

“The Check Mii Out Channel lets people show off their Mii creations and vote on those created by others,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “It’s yet another way that we’re building fun, interactive communities of Wii owners without charging them extra for the privilege.”

Through this unique channel, players can browse up to a random selection of 1,000 Miis or see the current or all-time favorites. There are a variety of ways to search of specific Miis ranging from finding the creator’s name or looking for specific Mii numbers.

Check Mii Out also focuses on sharing Mii creations through contests that represent certain themes, characters or people. Users can vote for their overall favorite and the results will be revealed after a two-week time period; one week for creating and submitting Miis and the second to enter votes in the poll.

Friends, families and complete strangers can enjoy this interactive Wii channel as it debuts in North American on November 11th.
