Yoshis need to be happy, and to be happy, they need fruit.
I enjoy the fusion of Yoshi’s Island style art and the three dimensional designs of the Yoshis and enemies. While the game is not true 3-D, its unique artistic design matches it perfectly.
Music is another thing altogether, being plain and boring, and not really a main attraction of the game. Not to mention the horrible Yoshi Choir bombarding us between pages. I do however enjoy the “boing-hops” and the “hmmmmmms” that the Yoshis make when they do stuff.
Gameplay is pretty awful. In the fact that there is little. The entire focus of the game is to find fruit. Obviously, getting the right fruit will net you more points, however playing through will only require getting 30 pieces of any fruit. While there are 24 stages total, only 6 are played at any one playthrough.
While the game looks nice, it suffers greatly from its lack of gameplay. While the game may be fun for a little while, the novelty will quickly wear off, and it is recommended against getting.
