Samus returns to fight against the Space pirates who have stolen the last Metroid. 

From the rain pounding on your ship upon the arrival on Zebes, to the molten depths of Brinstar, and even the detailed shading of Samus’ power suit; the design and execution of this astounding game is truly magnificant, even by today’s standards.

Metroid’s music is taken, and rescored with the SNES’ hardware, a long with a few original arrangements, helping to set the dark tone, and great exploration through Zebes’ interior. Add onto this, the terrific sound effects to augment the action, and the game becomes even even more engrossing.

Super Metroid follows the pattern like the original, finding new powerups, new areas to explore, and pulling the player into the deep game, which can match, or even exceed the original.
