Geese Howard has killed Terry Bogard’s father, time to exact some revenge on the crime boss.
The first of the Neo-Geo games, which offers arcade level graphics. Backgrounds, Sprites, everything is superior to the other system’s fighting games. The stages show intricate detail and animation. It defintitely does not look bad.
Music is also arcade quality, and definitely brings out the heat of the battle. Things such as sound effects sound incredible, from with punches, kicks and special attacks.
It is a traditional two-dimensional fighting game, while there are plenty of foes to combat, you have but a limited choice of three characters, though they each have their own unique style, for plenty of different playing types.
The original Neo-Geo gave arcade level games to the home-player at a cost greater than that of the PS3, and a game which costed as much as the Wii. Now the Neo-Geo comes free, courtesy of the Virtual Console, and the game, at but 900 points; a definite title for those heading into the Neo-Geo market.
