A horde of Ruffians and the Armed Volunteers, plus the mysterious Holy Woman, Achi.
This game looks gorgeous. Cutscenes are a bit on the plain side, but the action is very impressive. Often times there can be upwards of 20 enemies on screen, and it still won’t slow down. Combine that with the stunning stage design and flow, it makes the game experience so much better. The danger warnings are a bit small and hard to see, but that only makes it more enjoyable.
It has top notch music, fast and rocking, to complement the flowing game play. Next it throws some explosions, laser and gunfire in your direction, all of which fit in well with the music. Finally they add voices for the cut-scenes, and even a few during the gameplay. And the bonus is, they’re in english with japanese subtitles, making it quite easy to understand.
Gameplay is brilliant, it is a rail shooter, where you guide the character around or over obstacles, all the while blasting away at the endless horde of Ruffians and Soldiers. My only concern is controls, and their user-friendliness. Though, after a while, it begins to get easier, as the controlls become a bit familiar.
This game is a bit more pricey that other N64 VC games at 1200 points. However, the game is good, and very worth it.
