Sonic was only enjoying a nice day of flying around before some red echidna stole his chaos emeralds. To top it off, Robotnik is on the attack. Again.
Its graphics are leaps and bounds beyond Sonic 2, which were not bad at all. Not only that, the excellent speed isn’t sacrificed, so it is beautifull and fast. It is amazing how they made the stages, and truly impressive, and to go with the excellent design, Sonic and Tails got their sprites tweaked.
Sonic 3 gives us brand new music to enjoy, as well as a few new sounds. While I am saddened by the loss a few samples, the replacements seem more than willing to pick up the slack, and meet the graphics.
Like the previous 2 in the series, Sonic 3 plays generally the same way, fast. On top of everything, instead of the original blue shield, Sonic can now get one of three different shields, Flame, Bubble or Electric, each with their own properties.
If you don’t have this, then you should definitely think about getting it, if you have played a Sonic game before or not.
