Marvelous Entertainment is on a mission to flood the DS library with it’s loving farm simulation game, Harvest Moon. Bokujou Monogatari: Kira Kira Taiyou to Nakamatachi (which roughly translate to Harvest Moon: Sparkling Sun and Friends) is the newest iteration of the series announced by the publisher.

Changing the locale for once, Sparkling Sun and Friends takes place across the Himawari Island Chain which is a group of five different islands located closely near one-another. Owning one island predominately for farming, players will travel to the other lands in search of supplies, animals and necessary personal needs. One island is made specifically for special events and festivals while another is a hub for Wi-Fi item exchanges and voice chat implication.

Something a tad new for the series, Marvelous Entertainment allows players to raise wild animals other than the typical farm creatures. Not many have been revealed though we heard rabbits and bears will be included. Roar!

Expect to return to the farm again when Harvest Moon: Sparkling Sun and Friends goes to Japan in the winter.
